We signed the contract for the pool on the 1st April. We were told that as soon as we paid the deposit, they would get the plans to the Council and that would take around three weeks. They guaranteed starting work within three weeks of that date.
We are employing the landscapers and retaining wall guys privately, and they turned up the other night to survey the job and said they would start in a week or so. On Wednesday, Bob arrived with his dog and one bob cat and a larger digger. After a few hours of non stop work, he called his mate Paul who came along with his bob cat and they got the whole pad sorted by about 3pm. Bob came back on Thursday and dug the footings for the retaining wall.
Whilst they were doing their stuff on Wednesday, the guy from the Pool firm came round to see how it was going and said they would be back next Wednesday to dig the pool out. Slightly faster than we anticipated but won't complain!!
By law we have to have danger signs out on the road. We will also have to have temporary fences put up once the hole has been dug.
